Privacy policy

We value the privacy of users visiting https://transtat.stat.gov.pl website (hereafter referred to as the Site). We do not share any information provided by email unless it is requested by an authorised government agency or a court (The Act of 29 August 1997 on the Protection of Personal Data - Journal of Laws of 2014, item 1182 with amendments). Our Site can be visited without the need to register with your personal data.

What user data do we collect?

In order to provide services at the highest level, we use cookies. Using our website means that they will be stored on your device. You can change your browser settings at any time.

During your visit our systems automatically save so-called logs - i.e. system event logs containing anonymous information such as: time of your visit, IP address of your device, URL addresses of pages viewed and downloaded files on our website, information about your web browser. Additionally, the systems collect anonymous data such as the number of visits, the country from which our website was accessed, etc. The collected data is analyzed using solutions from an external supplier. We currently use Google Analytics. We recommend that you read the Google Analytics Privacy Policy. Users can disable all cookies or delete selected ones. Google Analytics also supports an optional browser add-on which once installed and activated, disables Google Analytics measurements on all pages viewed by the user.

Purpose of collecting user data

Log data are stored only for purposes of administering the Site. Any user data collected via the Site are used by the CSO and are not transferred to third parties. Log data collected during your visit are stored for an indefinite period of time to generate statistics for website administration. Information contained in log data is only available to authorised staff responsible for the site and network administration. The Local Storage stores informations to adjust its appearance to your preferences. The informations are stored on your computer and contain information about the selected font, page contrast mode, chosen language and your computer’s IP address. Your personal data are only used to contact you with a reply to the question you have asked.

Everyone has the right to request the digital availability of a website, mobile application or any of their elements as well as can also request information to be made available using an alternative access method, for example by reading out a digitally inaccessible document, describing the content of the video without audio description, etc. The request should contain the details of the person submitting the request, indicate which website or mobile application it concerns and the method of contact. If the requesting person reports the need to receive information by means of an alternative method of access, he/she should also specify a convenient way of presenting this information.

The public entity should execute the request immediately, not later than within 7 days from the date of submitting the request. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, the public entity shall immediately inform the person making the request when it will be possible to fulfil the request, and the deadline may not be longer than 2 months from the date of submitting the request. If digital accessibility is not possible, the public entity may propose an alternative way of accessing the information.

If the public entity refuses to comply with the request to ensure the availability or an alternative method of access to information, the person submitting the request may submit a complaint regarding the provision of digital accessibility of the website, mobile application or an element of the website or mobile application.

After exhausting the above-mentioned procedure, a claim to the Ombudsman can be also submitted.

Architectural accessibility

Building: Statistics Poland, Aleja Niepodległości 208, 00-925 Warsaw

There is one main entrance to the building from Aleja Niepodległości 208. The building consists of seven floors and four wings marked A B C D on each floor.

There are no stairs to enter the main hall from the outside.

The reception desk is straight ahead and to the right of the main entrance. Further passage is secured with gates.

The building of Statistics Poland is to a large extent adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities. The stairs in the main hall (block C) are equipped with platforms for transporting the wheelchair, inside the building appropriate width of communication routes is provided . The lifts are equipped with voice information and signs for the blind. Block D of Statistics Poland building, where the Central Statistical Library is located, is adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities, i.e. it has entrance door of adequate width, a staircase, a platform for wheelchair users; the reading room has anti-slip flooring, and the toilets are adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities. There are 5 toilets in the building adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities.

Toilets for persons with disabilities are located on the ground floor of the main hall, to the right of the entrance, and four on individual floors (floors I, III, V and VI).

There are 7 parking spaces for persons with disabilities in front of the building.

There are no induction loops in the building of Statistics Poland.

There are no Braille markings in the building, no contrast or enlarged print markings for the blind and partially sighted.
